Hurricane Flood Prevention and Coastal Conservancy Project

Welcome to the I.P. Hunt Foundation website

I.P. Hunt Foundation (IPHF) is a nonprofit publicly supported community development and education charity established over 30 years ago in Jackson, Mississippi. The mission of IPHF is to serve the needs of underprivileged and disadvantaged communities.

Our goal is to improve, enhance and uplift the quality of life in underserved communities through employment education and housing programs that serve the needs of independent small businesses and low-income working families.

Currently millions of Americans are uninsured and have no health or medical coverage.  An estimated 18-20 million are workers with families who in spite of their hard work and effort are living at or below the poverty level known as the "working poor". Countless workers have to make sacrifices on a daily basis just to meet their basic needs and continuously live under the threat of medical or physical disability while finding it virtually impossible to afford decent and respectable housing.

Affordable worker benefits, employee and disaster housing are community improvement areas that IPHF believes can be solved through creative arrangements that serve the business, private and public interests.

Our objective is to develop fresh and innovative solutions that include the vision, cooperation and support of private citizens, major corporations, family foundations as well as public institutions which directly impact the health and well-being of the entire community.

Consequently, we believe that all economic problems. political and social unrest can all be traced directly or indirectly back to the health and well-being of the working family which forms the backbone of our modern industrial society and touches each and everyone of our lives.

It is our position that within each community are the solutions to its problems. This includes basic worker health plans that serve the benefits needs of independent small businesses and their workers, affordable housing for seniors and working families to coastal seawall protection systems. It is therefore critical that we develop specific alternative community-oriented methods and means to address the vital interest and needs of these underserved segments of our society.

We invite you and all concerned citizens to join our effort to bring financial education, housing fairness and economic inclusion for all deserving citizens and productive working families.

Your partnership, cooperation, assistance and support are essential to making a difference. We solicit and welcome your ideas, comments, suggestions and support.
