"Building A Better Community"

WELCOME TO OUR AFFORDABLE HOUSING SECTION

The
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NATIONAL TRUST PROJECT

As real estate markets throughout the country fluctuate, it is becoming increasingly difficult for seniors to find affordable housing and working families to purchase a home within most inner cities of America.

The mission of this project is to develop special housing programs and projects that are affordable but take a new and creative approach to lower-income housing. Rather than building concrete towers or cheap multiunit ghetto dwellings, our aim is to create unique housing that is pleasing in both form and function.  Forward thinking design, innovative construction techniques and a genuine understanding of the needs of human beings will result in an environment that will uplift the community at large.

In today's real estate market, despite their hard work and sacrifice, many workers are unable to afford a home in which to raise their families even with both adults employed full-time. Complicating the situation with the fact that manufacturing jobs are moving offshore and to more business friendly areas, wages and salaries have been under siege to say the least.  In hot real estate markets such as Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, just to mention a few, hard working families are being required to struggle in underserved poor working communities or seek living space in the suburbs adding the extra burden and expenses of daily commuting.

While living in the suburbs may seem to be a solution, in reality it brings a different set of problems.  Most affordable suburbs are far away from most job centers requiring workers to make long and costly commutes or dependent on public transportation systems that are often inadequate or nonexistent.

Most significantly, this situation becomes an acute problem especially during major emergencies or natural disasters when workers are most needed on their jobs. Workers dependent upon public transportation are often unable to travel to work in times of crises. These workers insure that our businesses, institutions and public services are continuely maintained and working effectively. From waitresses, parking lot attendants, to janitors and trash collectors, these are the people upon whom our industrial society has come to depend.

Therefore, It is apparent that affordable housing development are not only provide a means by which a working family can earn their piece of the American dream, but in the short and long run, has major role in supporting the interests of business and commerce.

Our affordable housing program calls for creating innovative alliances and partnerships with local government, private contractors, home building suppliers and manufacturers as well as financial institutions.

Our approach incorporates the latest construction materials and techniques with fresh innovative architectural design elements that will distinguish our development from the ordinary public housing systems. The goal of this concept is to cultivate and build community pride through improvements that participants will be proud to live in and support.
